School placement starts at the second year of studies and it is compulsory for all students. Starting from the 3rd semester and onwards, students have to visit schools, get involved in everyday classroom work and implement educational activities. School Placement is carried out in public kindergartens of Patras, supervised by members of the School Placement teaching staff.
Students can undertake an undergraduate thesis during the last year of their studies, if they wish. The thesis is carried out individually and is supervised by a faculty member. If the supervisor agrees, two students may work together on the same thesis; in this case, the contribution of each student must be clear. When the thesis is completed, students have to submit their manuscript and defend it in a public, oral presentation. Both the manuscript and the presentation are evaluated by two faculty members: the supervisor and a co-examiner.
