Postgraduate Studies Programme “Educational Sciences”

This two-year Programme of Postgraduate Studies aims to deliver high-quality, tuition-free postgraduate education and contribute to promoting scientific research in Educational Sciences.

The Programme leads to the award of a Postgraduate Studies Diploma in Educational Sciences, specializing in one of the following fields:

  1. Sciences, Mathematics, and ICT Didactics: Students in this specialisation are engaged in an in-depth study of theoretical issues in contemporary Didactics of Sciences, research topics of Didactics of Biology, Physics, Mathematics, Informatics, and ICT, as well as related topics of Pedagogy, Epistemology, and Psychology. Moreover, they do research concerning these scientific fields.

  2. Social Theory, Policy and Practices in Education: Students in this specialisation are engaged in an in-depth study of theoretical issues emerging in Social Sciences, and their relationship with contemporary education. Moreover, they do research concerning the scientific fields of Sociology and Political Theory in education, Educational Policy, and Intercultural Education.

  3. Language, Art, and Culture in Education: Students in this specialisation are engaged in an in-depth study of literature, linguistics, and art as sociocultural phenomena and practices closely related to education. Moreover, they do research concerning the scientific fields of Linguistics, Theory of Literature, Literacy, Aesthetic Theory, and Art in education.
