Description : In this course, concepts of Scientific Museology and Didactics of Natural Sciences , and more specifically the concepts of 'mediating transposition' and 'didactic transposition' of scientific knowledge into a museum object and a teaching object respectively are discussed. The evolution of modern science and technology museums from collection museums to integrated science and technology centers as well as their role in the communication of science and technology is also investigated. Finally, the concept of science culture is introduced and analyzed and issues of informal, non-formal and formal forms of education in science and technology are discussed.
